What's a Tum Tum?
What is a Tum Tum? It’s a unique tummy warmer—a wearable blanket—that slips over your baby’s torso, and sits under the arms and over the belly, keeping your child warm to the core while allowing your little one to play freely and sleep soundly. And we all know how important sleep is when there’s a baby in the house!
Babies love to move and explore, but sometimes the layers of clothes or swaddling to keep them warm can be limiting. That’s why a Tum Tum is perfect to keep baby warm while they can be free to explore the wonderful world around her.
Why Warm Tummies Are Important
For hundreds of years, Asian families have passed down a time-tested nugget of wisdom that a warm tummy can help you from getting sick and boost overall health. It was this knowledge that inspired Jennifer Flowers to create Tum Tums. The understanding is that when the body’s core is warm, it sends more blood to the arms and legs, increasing circulation and warmth throughout. When the core is cold, the body’s natural defense system keeps blood for the brain and vital organs, reducing circulation to the rest of the body. That’s why stomach-warming products such as wearable blankets and heating pads have been a common product in Asian countries for many generations.
NASA Tested, Mommy Approved
For even more proof, NASA Scientist, Grant Schaffner, tested our snuggly invention and found that babies wearing a Tum Tum indeed had overall warmer extremities than those without one.
Impressive, huh? But the best proof is your happy baby, which means happy parents. We're positive that your little one will love this cozy tummy warmer.
How To Use a Tum Tum
Tum Tums are made from a high-quality soft fabric and can be worn over onesies, play clothes and pajamas. It’s easy to change diapers while your baby wears a Tum Tum. And this snuggly warmer is great for children from birth up to 2 years old.
WARNING! SUFFOCATION HAZARD! To prevent risk of fabric covering infant’s mouth or nose, the Tum Tum must fit snuggly around the baby’s torso right underneath baby’s arms. Do not use the Tum Tum with an undersized infant. Do not allow fabric to cover infant’s mouth or nose.
